American Rope Horse Futurity Trainer & Competitor

Career Earnings in Excess of $1.3 Million

Cesar started roping competitively at 9 years old and has made a life & living in the roping arena ever since. He’s developed a specific horsemanship program, and coaching style, that sets him apart as a team roper, and as a trainer.

Cesar is from a long line of cowboys & ropers in southern Arizona. Currently living and training in Casa Grande, Cesar was raised in Tucson. Mentored primarily by his grandfather, NFR Qualifier & veteran Victor Aros and his uncle George Aros, also a NFR Qualifier. The legendary little “Aros Arena” in south Tucson has been a haven of knowledge, growth and development for many cowboys, including Cesar.

In 2008, Cesar married Arena and the two have gone on to raise 3 boys he affectionately refers to as his “Wolfpack”. Camilo, Gio & Zorro are all as passionate about rodeo as Cesar was as a kid and idolize their dad. Arena is an accomplished horsewoman herself, sharing the women’s all-around championship at the 2008 College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. Arena is the glue that keeps the operation, horses, and home together! You will often find the two coaching and mentoring as a team, as well as travelling with the boys to Junior Rodeos, High School Rodeos, and local jackpots.

After stepping back from full time rodeo Cesar has developed a coaching & lesson program locally, as well as travelling internationally to assist ropers in clinics & roping schools all over the USA and Canada. His biggest passion is working with young ropers, and helping them solidify the fundamentals of roping safely, with purpose and ability.

He has also taken the opportunity to apply his training knowledge to the Rope Horse Futurity industry, showcasing his ability to train and show young equine athletes. Partnering with Phillips Ranch LLC has given Cesar the opportunity to focus on developing quality horses that are bred and willing to go to work.

His passion for horses has also led him down the path of assisting buyers through the process of horse purchases. He assists riders and ropers of all levels in purchasing an equine partner that is suitable to the buyer’s goals, level, and individual style of riding/roping. His goal is to ensure that the perfect and life long partnership is found.
